The U10 & U12 Football Presentation was a great success with a large turn-outof players, parents and club memnbers to celebrate a very successful year for our U10 and U12 footballers on Saturday 15th November 2008.

U8s Win Burren Shield (12.10.2008)
After the success of our U10 footballers, our U8 team weren't to be outdone and won the Shield competiton, at Burren beating Rostrevor and Clonduff (5-02 to 0-01) in the Shield Final.

Christmas Bar Rota
The social club committee hope to be able to open the lounge/members bar over the Christmas period.To achieve this objective we will require club members who are currently helping in the bar and also those members who at present are not,to volunteer for bar duties on the following nights_
Christmas Night-Boxing Night-New Years Eve.
Should you wish to assist and ensure that the lounge is open on these nights either post your name on the club website or sign the rota list on the notice board in the social club.

REminder re Quiz Night Fundraiser
Just a reminder to club members and everyone involved with Juvenile football to come out and support our Juvenile footballers at the quiz this Thurs night in the Canal Court from 9.30 to 11.00. This is an important fund raising event and great fun for all.

Gulf Gaelic Games 2009.
On behalf of the Dubai Celts GAA Club, I would like to extend an invite to you to take part in the Gulf Gaelic Games 2009. The tournament will take place on the 23rd and 24th of January at the new Emirates Sports Complex. Full details including
approx costs are on our website – www.dubaicelts.com.
This will be a good start to your years football with teams coming from Ireland,
London, Asia and elsewhere in the Gulf. It will also be a great holiday with events
held every night for the visiting teams.
It will be a Sevens tournament with 5 subs.

reserve football
the reserve team only played a total of 7 games this season, due to opposing teams not fielding and simply because of no fixtures on 'free' sundays.then with 4 games still to play the league is abandoned for some unknown reason. it is high time the south down board sorted out this farse they call a league.
