U14 Hurlers
Great display by the U14 hurlers tonight in beating Warrenpoint easily. The whole team played exceptionally well but special mention to Ryan Courtney, Matthew Dipnell, Pat Haveron and Matthew Mee for their exceptional performances. Final mention is for young Niall Lennon who scored the goal of the match with the perfect double just like his uncle Mattie!
Not to be outdone only an hour later the Senior Hurlers enjoyed their second win of the season from two games with a hard fought victory over Derrynoose despite having to field without about six regulars, some great performances from our young players such as Paddy Young and Colm McCabe.

Well done to the U12 hurlers who got 2009 off to a positive start winning the South Down blitz today and qualifying for the Ards Premier League again. Highlight of the day was their 40 pts defeat of local rivals Warrnepoint despite the Shamrocks lads missing four of their starting team, this is the four year in a row Shamrocks have won the South Down qualifying competition.
