Also like to wish the ladies footballers the best of luck in their final this weekend against Ballymartin. Hurlers Triumph
Well done to the senior hurlers who beat Warrenpoint in the intermediate semi final yesterday on a final score of 3-10 to 1-09. After a first half that saw Warrenpoint leading 0-07 to 0-05, Shamrocks came out with all guns blazing and after a few positional changes we started to show are dominance, with Ciaran Courtney dominating midfield Kevin fegan the half forward line, Paul Gribben the half back line Gary courtney the full back line, and Eoin McGuiness ruling the roost at full forward. It wasnt long before we put down a marker with Eoin McGuiness scoring the first of his three goals and Kevin Fegan, Ciaran courtney, Artie Mc Guiness adding important points as Warrenpoint tried to claw there way back into the game , but Shamrocks just had thast extra step ahead. So now we look forward to the Intermediate final in three weeks against Bredagh. This is Shamrocks first appearance in an intermediate final for more that twenty years..

U8s Ballyholland Tournament
Hard luck to our U8 footballers, who gave a fantastic performance in the Ballyholland U8 tournament, and were beaten by a single point by a very strong Burren side in a thrilling Cup final coming back from 1-2 down to finish narrowly beaten by 1-03 to 1-02, having beaten a very strong Killeavy side in the semi-final by 1-0 to 0-2 and winning all their group games. With the Shamrocks again fielding 2 teams, with the B team also giving a great display and over 30 players in attendance all getting plenty of football, you were a credit to the Club today with the effort and never say die attitiude shown. Well done boys and girls and thanks to all the mentors and supporters for coming out to support us.

U14 Hurling Championship
Commiserations to the U14 hurlers who were defeated last night by Ballygalget in the county semi final replay 5-9 to 4-9. The loss to injury of Ryan Courtney (with hamstring) along with Jordan Murphy and Shay Harper who picked up injuries in football league games during the week proved just too much for our lads. However they hurled their hearts out as always and can be very proud of their efforts particularly Matthew Dipnell, Ruairi Campbell and Jordan Murphy along with Ryan Courtney who played through the pain barrier for the whole game. This year this group of players who beaten Ballycran, Portaferry and drew with Ballygalget prior to their defeat on Friday night proving they are more than a match for the best the Ards can provide. They have proved a credit to themselves, their families and the club through their efforts both on and off the field
