| reserve football |
| the reserve team only played a total of 7 games this season, due to opposing teams not fielding and simply because of no fixtures on 'free' sundays.then with 4 games still to play the league is abandoned for some unknown reason. it is high time the south down board sorted out this farse they call a league. |

| The under 14 away day and presentation will take place next Saturday 18th Oct. We will be leaving the club at 10:30 to play against ashburne and then go to Funtasia In drogheda( so please make sure you take swimming togs with you) we intend to be back in newry at 5:30 and our presentation will take place in the club at 8:30pm so all family are welcome were a hot buffet will be served at 9pm,,,hope to see you all there |

| Carryduff Hurling Tournament |
| Well done to the U12s who emerged unbeaten again today in the Carryduff tournament. They defeated Bredagh, Carryduff and Ballyvarley along the way. A special word of congratulations to Ruairi Campbell who was named Player of the Tournament. |

| The GIRLS PLAY Derry THIS SUNDAY IN Pairc Esler in the Ulster Semi Final @ 12.00 o clock. Hope all the club members can turn up and get behind the girls. A lot of the team said the big club support they had last week was of great help to them. |

| Tony Carr Hurling Tournament |
| Thanks to Tom Kinney and Newry Shamrocks for the invitation to the Tony Carr Tournament again this year. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the competition which was well organised.
